Big Kahuna Deep Fried Turkey


  • One 10-14lb Turkey, thawed
  • 6 tablespoons BKW Seafood Rub
  • 3-5 gallons vegetable oil (depending on fryer)
  • 2 sticks butter
  • Turkey fryer with rod and hanger attachment
  • Heavy duty gloves


  1. Remove giblets and neck from turkey, rinse thoroughly with cool water, pat dry
  2. Drain body cavity well and remove plastic pop-up if necessary
  3. Melt two sticks of butter and combine with six tablespoons of BKW Seafood Rub
  4. Inject turkey on all sides including the breasts, legs, wings and thighs
  5. Pour oil into turkey fryer and heat to 350°
  6. Place turkey on fryer rod and carefully lower into heated oil with rod hanger (wear gloves for protection)
  7. Deep fry turkey for 3 ½ minutes per pound at 350°
  8. Remove from oil and generously sprinkle with BKW Seafood Rub
  9. Let cool for approximately five minutes before slicing
